In this project, I undertook the task of crafting a visual tool for our client, offering a precise breakdown of each neighbourhood within Johannesburg's CBD. This involved mapping out individual shops, restaurants, government institutions, religious centers, and more. The aim was to provide our developers with a comprehensive understanding of the city's landscape, aiding in making informed decisions regarding future architectural projects.
The project demanded a significant investment of time and effort, as it necessitated several days of physically surveying the streets of Johannesburg. Managing such a vast amount of data required implementing an efficient organisational system. We meticulously analysed and sifted through the information to ensure that our focus remained on the pertinent details while filtering out extraneous information. Subsequently, all of this data was transformed into a reusable CAD drawing, streamlining the process for future use.
